INTRO TO NOSEWORK

No prior training required. Class is limited to 7 handler teams.

4-week class, Saturday, 1 - 2:30pm CLASS FULL

First class in the series

Dogs will be introduced to the foundation concepts of K9 Nose Work™. Box work, searches in and out of boxes, and elevations will be introduced in this class. This is an activity that ANYdog can do! It is fun for the dogs, and fun for the handlers. No obedience training is required. Scent work comes very naturally to a dog, as one third of a dog’s brain processes are devoted to olfaction. Dogs will begin searching for food or toys. This activity is a huge confidence booster for the shy or reactive dog. It is also great for dogs that may have physical challenges, or older dogs. It is a fantastic energy burner for adolescent dogs! This activity was developed from detection dog training. Class runs four consecutive weeks.
